Yoga

Ashley Hixon came to the Ashtanga practice in 2004 under the guidance of Annie Pace in Crestone, CO. In 2009 she completed Richard Freeman’s 200hr Teacher Intensive and in 2015 a 100hr Teacher Training with Maty Ezraty. Her mat has been at the feet of many more dedicated teachers, including Saraswati Jois, Rolf Naujokat, Tim Miller, and David Swenson to name a few. It has been her honor to assist her main teachers Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor on many occasions and in numerous contexts and locations.

In 2019 she founded the Ashtanga Collective in Boulder, CO and is the director of the Mysore program. It is her aim to hold space for each individual and the community as a whole to yield a deeper relationship with oneself and reflectively, one another.

She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, specializing in Thai Massage, and also holds a 560Hr Certification in Subtle Energy Work; giving her a well versed platform in gross and subtle anatomy.

The contemplative nature of dedicated practice and ability of the breath to reshape perceptive reality have been her most opulent means to cultivating self awareness. With a humbling gratitude, she shares the riches of this tradition.
